The era before the Crimson Convergence, when dragons dominated Eldunary. Ended when a mysterious entity known as The Shadow exterminated every dragon β except Zunarorth, the sole survivor.
Fluffy β The First Appearance
During the final phase of the Dragon Era, witnesses in surviving elf communities reported seeing something in the sky above the Shadow's killing grounds that was neither the Shadow nor any dragon β moving against its path, always arriving slightly too late, or choosing not to close the distance.
The Age of Elves
The long era before the Crimson Convergence, when elves dominated Criozevan with a vast, advanced civilization. The Golem King slept dormant in the Jagged Mountains throughout this period. The Convergence destroyed elf civilization in 40 days.
The Crimson Convergence
The defining cosmological event of Eldunary β the moment from which all years are measured (ACC = After Crimson Convergence). A red star appeared for exactly 40 days, drew magic out of the earth, and caused millions of years of evolution to occur.
Fluffy β The Second Appearance
A small group of elves fleeing the Crimson Convergence looked back through the canopy and saw, above the burning open land β something large, patient, and watching. It did not follow them. It did not intervene. It watched.
The Goldhelm Exodus
In the years immediately following the Crimson Convergence, a family of Folkwynd discovered they carried a hereditary power to passively drain magic from living sources. Terrified of the harm this caused those they loved, they fled and founded what became the Goldhelm Kingdom. This is the true origin of the anti-magic ban and holotech.
The Formation of Kingdoms
c. 500β700 ACC. For the first five centuries after the Convergence, Criozevan had no centralized governments. The Goldhelms were the first to consolidate, around Year 700, acting as a catalyst for every other kingdom to follow.
The Founding of the Crimson Rooks
The Crimson Rooks were founded in Year 712 ACC, at the same time as the formal establishment of the Kingdom of Vacron. Over three centuries they grew into the continent's primary peacekeeping institution.
The Formation of Pegasus and Rose
Pegasus was founded in Year 738 with a genuinely idealistic purpose and succeeded for ~30 years before collapsing through internal theft. Rose was founded in Year 780 by ex-Pegasus members specifically to destroy it. The two organizations have been at war ever since.
The First Great War
Alternate name for the Great War (795β800 ACC) β the civil war in the Goldhelm Kingdom that drew in all three Masters and ended with the Equinox of Power stalemate. See: The Great War.
The Great War
Civil war fought 795β800 ACC between the North and South of the Goldhelm Kingdom. Also known as the Golden War. Ended with the Equinox of Power β the three-way battle of the Masters. 500,000 soldiers killed. Led to the reshaping of three kingdoms.
Fluffy β The Third Appearance
During the Equinox of Power, multiple independent witnesses across the battlefield reported a figure in an enormous fleece at the edge of the carnage. Those closest described the sense of being seen in return. It was gone before the silence settled. The Masters stopped fighting. They have never fought each other again.
The Equinox of Power
The battle between the three Masters β Sunlee, Selvarin, and Veles β that ended the Great War (also known as the Golden War). 500,000 soldiers killed total. The crater formed by the battle became the foundation beneath Ibeson. All three chose peace when they saw the destruction. The definitive proof of the Masters' equal power.
War of Fodon
Civil conflict within the Kingdom of Fodon (820β847 ACC) between four warring districts. Drove the Tharnex race to near-extinction. Ended when Lucifer (#6 Arashi) killed all four district leaders, allowing the Dune Accord to be formed.
The Wizard Uprising
Ideological insurgency (c. 880β890 ACC) by radical Malefici and Metas seeking to eliminate all non-magical inhabitants and rule the continent. Six million dead. Ended through attrition and the intervention of the three Masters. Marked by the death of the Master of Magic Velho (889 ACC) and the first confirmed appearance of Anton (885 ACC).
The Ipadora Land War
c. 900 ACC. A war triggered when a criminal in Ipadora territory killed a Fodon Bug District Tharnex. Fodon and Frada drove Ipadora off the mainland. Ipadora's military β built for sea combat β was ill-suited for land defence. The manmade river dividing the territories remains as a permanent monument to the conflict.
Fluffy β The Fourth Appearance
During the Fradan re-occupation of Ipadoran territory (901 ACC), Fluffy appeared above one of the burning settlements. It did not prevent the atrocities. But in that settlement, in that hour, the killing paused. Fluffy left. The account was suppressed by Fradan command. It survives in Ipadoran oral tradition with complicated bitterness: Fluffy came, and then it left.
Fall of the Darkmane Kingdom
The unified Darkmane Realm collapsed between 937 and 940 ACC following the betrayal of Vaelith the Hollow, head of the ruling Darkmane Family, who sold his own brother Thalrith to a Goldhelm scientist. The act created the first of the Fallen β dark-magic-possessed husks β and shattered the family's internal trust beyond repair. By 940 ACC, a realm that had existed for centuries fractured into the warring tribes it remains today.
Fluffy β The Fifth Appearance
In 957 ACC, an anomalous earthquake rattled the northern half of the continent. At the peak of the tremors, Fluffy was sighted floating above the northern face of the Jagged Mountains β stationary, visible for approximately three minutes, and then gone. No explanation for the earthquake or Fluffy's presence was ever established.
The Five Public Appearances of Fluffy
In the one thousand years since the Crimson Convergence, Fluffy has been publicly sighted exactly five times. Each appearance is treated as a sacred historical event β witnessed with reverence and inadequacy. The accounts survive in fragments, folktales, and institutional archives that often contradict in detail while agreeing on the essential fact: Fluffy appeared, and then it was gone.
The Mist Family Massacre
In 993 ACC, every member of the Mist family β the Folkwynd noble line that served as Wrofast's de facto ruling family β was killed in a single night by Nebbio, the individual who would later become #3 in the Arashi organization. Nebbio had been born into the family and rejected as too weak in childhood. He returned with power the family had no framework to understand. Wrofast has had no formal noble leadership since.
