Magic & the Supernatural
The forces, systems, and artifacts that channel power beyond mortal understanding.
Corrupted Runes
Massive, unstable runes left by the Golem King in the Warring Darkmane Realm forests. Became unstable after the Golem King stopped maintaining them. Prone to explosions. Emit dark magic that can infect the mind β often fatal. Dark elves draw corrupted energy from them.
Devourers
An extraordinarily rare hereditary magi classification. Devourers do not cast, channel, or store magic β they absorb it from living sources passively and involuntarily. The only confirmed Devourer bloodline is the Goldhelm royal line. One known active carrier: Princess Seraphina.
Hell
Hell is a separate dimension β not a metaphor or theological construct, but a real place physically distinct from Eldunary that can be accessed through specific dark magical practices. Hell Malefici (approximately 2% of Dark Malefici) specialize in opening connections to this dimension for summoning purposes. What governs it and what its inhabitants want are unknown. Berserk (#2 Arashi) made a direct pact with a being from this dimension.
Holotech
Technology that mimics magic. Developed solely by the Goldhelm Kingdom. Used in place of magic for everyday life, warfare, and industry. Frada also produces holotech, exported to Goldhelm and Oredsy.
Malefici
Magic users whose powers are split into Scarlets, Dark Malefici, and Mages. Total 27.5% of all Magi.
Metas
People born with a specific innate power β e.g., talking to animals, super strength. 27.5% of all Magi.
Runestones
People who can only control their power through a runestone, weapon, or item. The most common magi type at 45% of all Magi. Golems have high affinity to rune magic.
