In 715 ACC, the man then known as the Azure Paladin, a Folkwynd warrior born in Vacron and later called the Dark Paladin, founded the Republic of Frada: the military republic structure, the universal service mandate, and the Bronze Chain governing system, with an explicit long-term goal of continental conquest in the name of peace. He was not wrong about the disorder of the continent. He was wrong about the remedy.
